J.R. Rodriguez- Writer/Director
J.R. has been in the entertainment world from the age of 9. He has performed in over 150 plays and musicals as well has having been seen in shows such as One Tree Hill, Dawson’s Creek, Matlock and Surface as well as the films Tammy, Loggerheads, Black Knight, Just Like the Son and 20 Funerals. He is the writer and director of the Tobbot Films, LLC production, The Caesar of 6th Street and the short film All In A Day’s Work, the latter receiving great notices at Cucalorus Film Festival. J.R. has written 5 screen plays and 3 plays. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed book of poetry, Things I See.
Jonathan Landau- Producer
Jonathan Landau has been producing, directing, and writing independent films for a quarter century. He has won various awards over the years, most recently including the Platinum Remi from Worldfest Houston (2014), the Director’s Award from the North Carolina Film Awards (2015), and was just named Encore Magazine’s Filmmaker of the Year (2017). As a producer, Jonathan is best known for the feature films Ding-a-ling-less, The Last Summer, Beyond the Living, and The Terrible Two. Jonathan also works in the industry as a production manag- er and 1st assistant director on select fea- tures, shorts, and television shows.
Bryan Putnam- Composer
Whether creating the score, libretto or lyrics for a new musical, singing onstage in leading roles, soloing with symphonies, or following any number of other creative impulses, Bryan's undeniable passion is creating! Composing scores for film, musical theatre; telling new stories and retelling some old ones! A New York City and North Carolina - based Writer/ Composer/ Playwright and Performer, and proud member of ASCAP, AEA, NYSTA & The Dramatists Guild of America, Bryan's musical The ToyMaker was developed at the 2012 O'Neill National Music Theater Conference, where Bryan received The Georgia Holof Lyricist Award for his work. The work has now been developed and seen nationwide by several esteemed venues / festivals.
In 2011, The ToyMaker was awarded Best Original Score Award at WVMTF. The ToyMaker also received a critically acclaimed run at The Theatre @ St. Clements as an official selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Link Project. Other recent accomplishments include an award-winning FringeNYC production of his musical Trouble in Shameland, starring Evita's Florence Lacey and a staged Reading of the aforementioned The ToyMaker at the York Theatre. Earlier works include several plays, short stories, screenplays and the musical Mannekin, produced in Wilmington, NC in 1998.
A member of AEA (Actor's Equity Association), he has performed all over the country in roles such as Leading Man Adam in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Jasper in Drood, Dr. Neville Craven and Albert Lennox in The Secret Garden, Kodaly in She Loves Me, Jigger in Carousel, Christian in Cyrano de Bergerac, Delmount in The Miss Firecracker Contest, Riff-Raff in The Rocky Horror Show, El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Cinderella's Prince/ Wolf in Into The Woods, Bobby in Company, Dr. Parker in Bat Boy, Dan in Next to Normal. And has just completed a run as Sidney Bruhl in Deathtrap with Cube Theatre on a Special Appearance Contract.
